Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua says trading is difficult, sticks with buying pullbacks instead of shorting

Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua said in a post that trading is far from easy, describing a market that repeatedly moved against both bullish and pullback calls. He said that when he had stayed bullish earlier, the market went through several corrections. Later, after price climbed to $86,000 and he kept looking for a pullback, the market still produced multiple rebounds and even touched $87,000. Over the past month, he said, price fell back to the $80,000-$81,000 range several times before quickly bouncing to the key $84,000 level again. Yi said neither rallies nor pullbacks move in a straight line, and argued that investors should not be thinking about trading at every moment. Instead, he said they should stick to the idea of watching for pullbacks without shorting and wait patiently for a better dip-buying opportunity. He also said he founded and manages three funds focused on crypto investing, crypto trading, and AI technology, adding that crypto trading is the hardest and amounts to "a practice against human nature." On the outlook, he said he still favors quality AI stocks and crypto assets as trend directions.

Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua says the real opportunity comes in moments of extreme fear

Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua said trading is inherently difficult and argued that the best opportunities tend to appear when market fear reaches an extreme. In a post cited by Odaily, he described a market that saw repeated pullbacks during bullish phases and repeated rebounds during bearish calls, including moves to $87,000 and rebounds from the $80,000-$81,000 area back to the key $84,000 level over the past month. He said that back-and-forth action was why he kept repeating the same message. YI said his principle is not to think about trading all the time. In his view, rallies do not move in a straight line, and neither do pullbacks. While maintaining a bearish view on corrections, he said he does not short the market and instead waits patiently for what he sees as the best dip-buying point. He added that he manages three different funds covering crypto investment, crypto trading and AI technology, and described crypto trading as the hardest of the three. He also said that high-quality AI stocks and crypto assets remain part of the trend, while asking whether investors would still have the confidence to buy during the next bout of extreme panic.

Morgan Stanley says stock pullback is in its late stage, investors should get ready to buy the dip

Morgan Stanley strategist Michael Wilson said a three-month stock market pullback is entering its final stage and investors should be prepared to buy on weakness. He said that, based on historical patterns, high-quality stocks in similar setups have typically outperformed over the following year by 7.5%. The update was cited by BlockBeats on Oct. 19 and attributed to Bloomberg. The note centers on timing and relative performance rather than a broad market forecast, with Wilson pointing specifically to quality stocks as the group that has tended to do better in comparable periods.

Hilbert CIO says Bitcoin remains a buy on dips despite oil risk

Hilbert’s chief investment officer said Bitcoin still looks suitable for buying on dips even as oil-related risk remains in focus. According to the brief comment carried by Techub News, the executive said Bitcoin’s resilience under geopolitical tension and inflation pressure highlights its potential as a hedging tool. At the same time, the CIO did not dismiss near-term uncertainty, noting that market volatility is still present. The remarks frame Bitcoin as an asset that may retain appeal during periods of macro stress, while also acknowledging that price swings have not gone away.

Trader Killa says Bitcoin pullbacks remain buying opportunities, with $82,500 seen as a key dip zone

BlockBeats reported on Oct. 2 that trader Killa said Bitcoin’s trend has already shifted in a clear way, even as the market remains at what he described as the peak of “bull market skepticism.” In his view, that backdrop does not invalidate the uptrend. Instead, he pointed to how Bitcoin behaved during the 2023 bull market, when buying retests and brief breaks below an “established low” often worked well. Killa said that in 2023, the deepest move below such a confirmed support level was only 8%, while in some cases Bitcoin slipped just 4% to 5% below the level before rebounding quickly. He now identifies 82.5K, or about $82,500, as Bitcoin’s current “established low,” and said historical behavior suggests any downside deviation from that level may be limited. The report also noted that Killa is a BTC-focused quantitative trader with more than 200,000 followers on X. It added that he had called the top of the current bull cycle in May 2025, shorted Bitcoin at $74,688 in mid-April, and then turned bullish during the broad market sell-off on June 5.

Bonk Guy says crypto may be nearing a turning point, with Q4 bulls urged to buy dips

Trader Bonk Guy said the crypto market may be close to a turning point, though he warned that the downside case could still involve several more weeks of declines or sideways trading before a sustained rally begins. In his view, investors who are highly confident in a token’s fourth-quarter outlook may find the current setup offers a more attractive risk-reward for buying on weakness. He argued that if a token is expected to surpass a $1 billion market capitalization, the difference between entering at a $20 million valuation and a $25 million valuation may not matter much. Bonk Guy also said the biggest risk right now is missing the next leg of the market because of the pessimistic tone on Crypto Twitter, or CT. He advised traders not to fixate on 1-minute candlesticks and instead consider accumulating on dips while cutting back on short-term trading.

JackYi says bottom-fishing should focus on cycle timing, not the exact low

Liquid Capital founder JackYi said his earlier calls that July and August marked the final window to buy the dip were based on a cycle view rather than a precise price target. In a post on Sept. 21, he said the third leg down since Oct. 11 should be the last decline in the current move, while adding that no one can know exactly how far prices may fall. He said market moves can still be distorted by black swan events, citing the FTX collapse as an example that once pushed BTC into an oversold drop. Even so, he argued that cycle timing and volatility patterns remain the more reliable guide, and that investors should buy when the time window arrives instead of waiting for the absolute bottom. JackYi also addressed why some of his wording had been vague, saying no one can be 100% accurate and that mistakes tend to be remembered more than repeated correct calls.

JackYi says July-August marked the final dip-buying window, not the exact bottom

Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua, known as JackYi, said in a post on X that his repeated call for July and August to be the last window to buy the dip was based on one core view: the third leg down since 1011 was the final decline in the cycle. He said no one can know exactly how far prices will fall, because black swan events can still distort the move, citing the FTX collapse and the resulting BTC overshoot as an example. Even so, he argued that cycle timing and volatility patterns do not miss, and that investors should buy when the time arrives rather than wait for the absolute bottom. JackYi also explained why some of his earlier wording sounded vague, saying nobody can be 100% accurate and that one wrong call is often remembered more than many correct ones. He added that even far-fetched rumors can draw more attention than facts.
